AMAs to honor Bon Jovi; McConaughey signs with Stetson; Boreanaz on ABC
(National) Nov. 3, 2004 - A legendary musician will soon be honored with a legendary award at this year's American Music Awards. Jon Bon Jovi will receive the Award of Merit at the 32nd AMAs this month.
The trophy reads, in part, "For outstanding contributions to the musical entertainment of the American public." His band has sold 100 million records and performed more than 2500 concerts. They'll also play at the awards show.
Matthew McConaughey has signed a sweet-smelling deal. He's the new Stetson cologne man. His next big screen appearance will be opposite Penelope Cruz in "Sahara," which hits theaters next year.
Actor David Boreanaz is set to star in an ABC drama about an undercover cop in the world of murder for hire. The show is as yet untitled. His WB show, "Angel," wrapped last spring.
